Writings  |  Lablog  |  Contact | CV |

Erika Lincoln is a graduate of the University of Manitoba holding a BA in History and Philosophy and a BFA Honours. Through her work she examines how embodied experiences are translated and communicated as knowledge. She uses combinations of kinetic sculpture, video, audio, and responsive networks to create simulations and mediations of her encounters with things in the world.  Erika's work has shown in galleries and festivals in Canada and Europe, including Germany, Slovenia, Ireland, Vancouver, and Quebec City.  Erika has been awarded grants from the The Canada Council for the Arts and The Manitoba Arts Council. In 2005 she participated in the Optic Nerve Thematic Residency at the Banff Centre for the Arts and was artist in residence in 2004 at Video Pool Media Arts Centre. Erika is currently developing a low-fi virtual-virtual reality installation funded through a 2006 Canada Council for the Arts New Media Grant.
