Cannery is a sculptural object that uses moving images and the sounds of over-flowing water as a metaphor to describe an experience of one's body extending out past one's skin. In this work the filling and expelling of the water visually represents the fluid and shifting nature of the subjective body; at times easily contained within its physical form and at other times expanding past the skin into the environment in which it exists.
