Mitochondrial Desires is a camera controlled responsive installation. In the centre of the gallery is a circular pedestal. Lying on the pedestal is a wire-to-rope splice. Projected along one of the gallery walls is a video document of a pair of hands making the splice. Mitochondrial Desires explores the future of hybrid organisms consisting of biological elements and machined parts.
