    A Convo with A.I - twelve collaborative drawings made with a robotic drawing machine.

    GPS Dreams - I transformed my body into a mountain using 3D scanning and printing.

  • I am known for creating the term Crip-Techno-Tinkerism.

    A term I came up with to describe my art making that intersects technology with disability. You can download the paper that I wrote on my art page.

    TL:DR - I have neurodevelopmental disabilities and I use different technologies for art and life. Rather than using these technologies to normalize my thinking and doing, I tinker with them to reflect my way of thinking and doing. I tinker with microphones, video cameras, computer code, electronics, machine learning, and robots. I love taking things apart.

  • I have been working with artificial intelligence and machine learning since 2019. I retrain models to take on the creative processes that are unique to my neurocognitive perceptions and behaviours. My installations are intelligence ecosystems where objects, people, and artificial intelligence work together to create art.

  • Cogitechnaut is me, Erika Jean Lincoln. My alter ego and digital handle. The name combines:

    Cogi, meaning in latin - to gather.

    Tech, from the greek tekhne - art or craft.

    Naut, ancient Greek suffix for voyager/explorer.

    Literally, I would describe it as an artist who gathers things while travelling.

    As my alter ego, I am a cosmonaut character exploring a technological world and making art from gathered data.
