ERIKA LINCOLN ::: ELECTRONIC ART

Erika lives in Treaty 1 territory, the original lands of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene peoples, and the homeland of the Métis Nation. Over the past 20 years she has exhibited in galleries, media art festivals, and museums in North America, Europe, and Australia. As a multi-year grant recipient from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Manitoba Arts Council she has pursued a practice in new media and electronic arts centered around alternative ways of exploring the world. Her method of artmaking speaks from a perspective of cognitive difference in the style of non-conformity, un-doing, mis-fitting, and troubling. Erika has participated in residencies at the Banff Centre Canada, Medialab Prado, Spain, and as Artist in Residence with City of Winnipeg Climate Change Office. She has exhibited at the Science Gallery, Ireland. Boston Cyberarts Gallery, USA. The Bauhaus-Archiv, Germany. Muse National des Beaux-Arts du Quebec, Canada. Winnipeg Art Gallery, Canada.
